The Message:
The great controversy between the Prince of life and the prince of darkness has been going forward, strengthening with each successive generation. Severe indeed has been the conflict waged between right and wrong, between truth and error, between the kingdom of light and the kingdom of darkness. Truth has fought against error and error against truth. The conflict has existed for thousands of years.... The truth as it is in Jesus will gain the victory that the prophecy assured to it; but to all human appearance, error will overwhelm truth. The larger number of the human race will be swept into idolatry. They will lift up that which Christ has not lifted up and strive to tear down God's great standard of righteousness.... Satan is referred to as the originator of sin. "For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil." Satan's first manifest defeat was his failure to overcome Christ in the wilderness of temptation.... "The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be." This prophecy was uttered by the dying Jacob, and addressed to his sons. But it bore with weight upon future generations.... The scepter is a rod carried in the hands of chiefs and rulers as a badge of authority.... "The sceptre shall not depart from Judah." The ensign of his tribeship shall remain. Judah shall not cease to be a distinct tribe until Shiloh come.... And the tribe of Judah did maintain its supremacy through all its adversities till Christ's first advent. It remained a distinct tribe till Shiloh came. Nearly seventeen hundred years before the death of Christ the dying Jacob uttered this prophecy. Christ Himself threw back the veil, that with prophetic eye Jacob could trace the history of his descendants.... He saw a wonderful Counsellor arise in the midst of this tribe. It was the promised Seed, Shiloh, the Sent of God, who was to set up a spiritual kingdom. Jacob saw the time when the scepter would no longer be in the hands of Judah. The nations would be gathered under the banner of Christ. When the Jews appeared before Pilate to secure Christ, they said, "We have no king but Caesar." By this they confessed that the scepter had indeed departed from Judah.-Manuscript 110, 1897. |

Commentary:
My friend, the truth of who God is will triumph in the end. Nearly the whole of the Christian world has accepted a god that is not shown in the Scriptures. A god that neither the Jews, the Apostles, or even Jesus worshiped. A god that not even the pioneers of our faith worshiped. That god is a counterfeit god known as the triune god, which advocates that God is made up of three beings who are gods unto themselves; three gods who are one in nature and purpose. But no matter how you slice, no matter how you explain it, it is still three gods and thus idolatry.
The One true God of the Bible is found in John 17:3 spoken of by Jesus himself saying "And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent." The Father is the one true God, and He has a Son Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God, not another being as the trinity teaches. It is His omnipresent Spirit and is the same Spirit that lives in Christ. Notice what Jesus says in John 14:10 "Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works."
The Father and the Son share the same Spirit because the Son came forth from the Father. Proverbs 8:22-25 says "The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old. I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was. When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no fountains abounding with water. Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth:" In order for the Father to be a father, he must have a son, and in order for the Son to be a son, he must have come from a father. In Proverbs, divine inspiration tells us that God had a Son, not a son by creation, but a Son by birth. The Son of God came forth from the Father before anything was created. Jesus declares this in John 16:27, 28 saying "For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God. I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father."
My friend, the truth of God is that there is only one God, the Father, and He has a Son, Jesus Christ the righteous. He sent His Son to die for our sins that we may be saved. The trinity teaches that the Father and the Son are just metaphors, that the Son is not really the Son of God, but only God the Son playing the part or role of a son. The Scriptures tell us that Jesus truly is the Son of God, not just in His incarnation, but before anything was created. Jesus is literally and naturally the Son of God. This truth will triumph in the end.
My friend, the only question that you need to ask yourself today is will you accept Him as the Son of God as the Scriptures proclaim, or will you accept Him as God the Son as the trinity teaches. How you answer that question will determine which God you serve.
God bless,
