Settled Rebellion is Incurable

Christ Triumphant - A Devotional by E.G. White

Settled Rebellion is Incurable
Today's Text:
The people gathered themselves together unto Aaron, and said unto him, Up, make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, ... we wot not what is become of him. Exodus 32:1
The Message:

All are at liberty to choose and take their position with the rebellious or take their stand with those who are on the side of God and the truth-those who have labored earnestly, faithfully, and unselfishly in this great cause, and who have endured trial, reproach, and fought with courage the battles of the Lord.

Settled rebellion is incurable. It first originated in heaven with the angel next highest in order to Jesus Christ. This exalted angel had sympathizers who joined him in his rebellion. He, Satan, the great rebel, was turned out of heaven, and all his rebel sympathizers shared his fate. Since then it has been his special work to excite to rebellion all he can gain control over.

Said the angel, "Rebellion will occur up to the time of the closing of the work of the third angel's message. Marvel not, neither be discouraged. He who conquered the leader in rebellion stands at the head of this great work. Although Satan may exult and seem for a time to triumph, the first great Conqueror has His eyes upon him, and he can go no farther than He permits. He is permitted to have power for a time to reveal the true-hearted, to prove the faithful, to develop the spurious and separate them from the pure in heart. Rebels will be purged out from among the loyal and true in due time, for the truth has gathered of every kind."

I was then shown the travels of the children of Israel. Rebellion was common among ancient Israel. Moses was gone from them only forty days, but the time was long enough for there to be enacted one of the greatest apostasies from God, who had shown to them such special favors and whose voice they had recently heard from Mount Sinai. In awful grandeur He spoke the Ten Commandments in the hearing of the people, which led them to exceedingly fear and tremble and plead with Moses that the great Jehovah should not speak to them any more, but that he should receive the words and speak to them. They wrought out a calf and turned from God to the lowest idolatry, that of worshiping the work of their own hands.-Manuscript 1, 1865.
Commentary:

My friend, As the children of Israel chose to worship God in a form of their own choosing, so too has the Christian world chosen to worship God in a form of their own choosing, and in doing so they both worshiped, and are worshiping, an altogether different god.

The children of Israel knew that the golden calf was not the Almighty God, but they choose to fashion themselves an image of God that was to their liking.  They prayed and worship it as though it was God, but no matter how much they tried to excuse their actions it was not of God and therefore idolatry.

Today nearly the whole Christian world has setup an image of God that is not supported by the Scriptures.  The trinity is worshiped as the manifestation of God, but is in reality fashioned after the philosophy of man.  No matter how everyone tries to spin that the three-in-one god of the trinity, which is made up of three co-equal, co-eternal beings, it is polytheism and not the One true God of the Bible.

The Seventh-day Adventist church, as recently as 1980, has adopted the trinity and made it one of the churches fundamental beliefs.  Our founding pioneers that included Ellen White, did not believe in this triune god, but rather believed in the One true God and His Son Jesus Christ (John 17:3).  This change is called present truth, but in reality it is a deception of Satan.

The children of Israel setup and worshiped a strange god that was in direct violation of the first and second commandments.  Today, God's people have done the same thing in the form of the trinity, and as such has provoked God to jealousy.  Notice what Deuteronomy 32:17, 17 says "They provoked him to jealousy with strange gods, with abominations provoked they him to anger.  They sacrificed unto devils, not to God; to gods whom they knew not, to new gods that came newly up, whom your fathers feared not."

My friend, we have been deceived by into believing that the trinity is new light, but in fact it is the repeating of an old lie.  The enemy of souls has succeeded in transferring the worship of the people of God from the One true God to the god of the trinity, and no matter how sincere we are in our worship, if we worship the trinity we are worshiping the power that is behind the trinity.  Jesus said of the Jews in Matthew 15:8, 9 saying "This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.  But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men."

May our eyes be anointed by the eye salve of the Faithful and True witness, that we may awaken to the deception of the trinity today, that we may not be settled in rebellion against the One true God.

God bless,

The Final Protest - #5 Traditions of Men

This is the fifth in a series of videos. The Final protest is dedicated to showing that the foundation for the Ecumenical Movement, the Trinity, is not the true God of the Bible. We invite everyone to come and see for themselves and discover the beautiful truth of a Father and a Son.

The Controversy Between Christ and Satan is Ended

Christ Triumphant - A Devotional by E.G. White The Controversy Between Christ and Satan is Ended Today's Text: And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. Revelation 21:4 The Message:      The wicked receive their recompense in the earth. [Proverbs 11:31] . They "shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of hosts."  Malachi 4:1 . Some are destroyed as in a moment, while others suffer many days. All are punished "according to their deeds." The sins of the righteous having been transferred to Satan, he is made to suffer not only for his own rebellion, but for all the sins that he has caused God's people to commit...

The Book of Daniel Now Unsealed for Study

Christ Triumphant - A Devotional by E.G. White Book of Daniel Now Unsealed for Study Today's Text: But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased. Daniel 12:4 The Message:      There is need of a much closer study of the Word of God; especially should Daniel and the Revelation have attention as never before in the history of our work. We may have less to say in some lines, in regard to the Roman power and the papacy, but we should call attention to what the prophets and apostles have written under the inspiration of the Spirit of God.  The Holy Spirit has so shaped matters, both in the giving of the prophecy and in the events portrayed, as to teach that the human agent is to be kept out of sight, hid in Christ, and the Lord God of heaven ...

Christ is Knocking at Your Hearts Door

Christ Triumphant - A Devotional by E.G. White Christ is Knocking at Your Hearts Door Today's Text: But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. Hebrews 2:9 The Message:      The stress of great temptation is already upon us. We are now to unite with one another in doing medical missionary work, even the work that Christ did when on this earth. We are to be one in Christ. Thus we show our faithfulness to God, to our Redeemer, and to all who are born into His kingdom.  Among the people of God there is to be no dissension, no controversy, no warfare against one another. The forces of righteousness are to be a unit in their conflict with evil. All the strength of God's...
