The Message:
Jesus Christ is our spiritual touchstone. He reveals the Father.... The mind must be prepared to appreciate the work and words of Christ, for He came from heaven to awaken a desire and to give the bread of life to all who hunger for spiritual knowledge. Inspiration declared that His mission was to preach the gospel to the poor, and to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord. His Word declared that He should set judgment on the earth, and that the isles should wait for His law; that Gentiles should come to His light, and kings to the brightness of His rising. This was the Messenger of the Covenant yet to come, the Son of Righteousness yet to rise upon our world.
Adam and Eve were formed in the image of God. But Satan worked constantly to destroy the divine similitude. The holy pair yielded to temptation, and God's image was obliterated. Christ put His hand a second time to the work. He would recreate human beings. When the fullness of time came, God sent forth His Son. Hear, O heaven, and be astonished, O earth! The appointed Instructor appears, and He is no other than the Son of God; His divinity was clothed with humanity. Christ came to reveal perfection amid the imperfection of a world corrupted by disobedience and sin. The eternal Word appeared in human form, bringing with Him all grace, all healing, all efficiency. He brought with Him the bread of life, which, if received, will be to us as the tree of life. The Inspired Word declares of this Teacher, "For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you. And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people." The question of how to obtain a knowledge of God is to all a life-and-death question. Read Christ's prayer to His Father, intended not merely as an important lesson in education for the disciples, but to come down through all time for the benefit of those who would read the Inspired Writings. "Father," He prayed, "the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee: as thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent."-Manuscript 15, 1898. |

Commentary:
My friend, it is through the Son of God that we are brought into connection with the Father. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;" (1 Timothy 2:5). How clear is this beautiful truth that God gave of His Son that we may know the Father, the only true God, that through Him we may have eternal life. Yet this wonderful truth is destroyed by the false doctrine of the trinity. It destroys the father-son relationship and introduces to us an altogether different being as our mediator.
We were created in the image of God, to bear His likeness. "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them." (Genesis 1:27). The trinity would have you believe that God is a triune god made up of three individuals who are god individually and collectively, but when we were created in His image there were only two. Adam represented the Father, and from Him was brought forth Eve, who represents the Son. From the beginning Satan has endeavored to obliterate the image of God in man through our transgression, but he also destroys the image of God through the trinity, artfully adding a third being called "God the Holy Spirit" creating an altogether different picture of God than what is revealed in the Scriptures.
The Scriptures are very clear that there is only One God, the Father, and it is by our connection with His Son that we are brought into connection with Him. 1 Corinthians 8:6 says "But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him." The trinity would have you believe that all three beings are God unto themselves, and collectively they are the Godhead, but this is a deception of Satan, that he may separate us from a true knowledge of Him, and by doing this separates us from our salvation, for it says "And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent." (John 17:3).
It is the spirit of antichrist that seeks to destroy the Father and the Son for it says in 1 John 2:22, 239 "Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also." The spirit of the trinity is the spirit of antichrist and as such is an altogether false image of God.
My friend, how long will you look unto this false image of God? It is time to awaken to this deadly deception and look unto the One true God through His Son Jesus Christ today.
God bless,
