Christ Healed the Palsied Man and Forgave His Sins
Today's Text:
And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee. Matthew 9:2
The Message:

When Jesus came as a man to our world, Satan had led the Jews into the practice of a religion that pleased the powers of darkness. The professed people of God had departed from God and were following another leader. Through their own perversity, they were going on to destruction, but Christ came to dispute the authority of Satan....

The life of Christ was made one long scene of conflict. Satan stirred up the evil hearts of people, and set envy and prejudice at work against the Son of God, the Saviour of the world. He caused people to question and to doubt the word, works, and mission of Christ.... They [the Jews] followed Christ from place to place, in order that, if possible, they might catch some word from His lips to misstate, misconstrue, and publish abroad, giving it a meaning that had neither been expressed nor intended. Thus the way of Christ was hedged up by people who claimed to be just and holy....

In this way Satan led people who might have been a power for Christ to work on the enemy's side in the controversy, and to become agents whereby he instilled into the hearts of the people questioning, suspicion, doubt, and hatred....

The leaders of the people were ever watching for an excuse for their attitude of unbelief, and when He wrought His most convincing miracles, they were ready to catch up anything that would appear like an objection to His divine claims. When Jesus had healed the palsied man, He had said to him, "Son, thy sins be forgiven thee."...

In the miracle that Christ had wrought, He had changed the man's heart and had renewed him in mind and body, thus demonstrating to the Pharisees the fact that He had power to forgive sins, and to bring righteousness and peace to the sinner. Yet the Pharisees saw in His words of divine power a matter for unbelief and accusation.... Jesus saw that however deeply rooted were the principles that were set in opposition to the principles He proclaimed, yet they were delusion and falsehood, and had originated in the enemy of all righteousness. Jesus said to the people, "Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice."-Manuscript 65, 1895 (The Signs of the Times, April 25, 1895).

Commentary:

My friend, in the time of Christ, Satan had corrupted the hearts of the people to the point where they were following another leader, that when the Son of Man came they did not recognize Him, and eventually rejected and crucified Him.  What was done in the time of Christ is being done in the remnant church today.  By corrupting the leadership, Satan has supplanted the worship of the One true God with the worship of the trinity.  Jude 1:4 says "For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ."

The trinity denies that Jesus is truly the Son of God, and therefore denies the Father as well.  To sustain the doctrine it teaches that the Father and the Son are co-equal and co-eternal, meaning that they have always existed.  For this to be true Jesus could not be a true son, for a true son proceeds the father, therefore it claims that the Son of God is only a metaphor, or a title that He has adopted.  This destroys the father-son relationship and the gospel.  This false image of God has perverted the picture of God and has corrupted the people as well.

Today, the church is decidedly against anyone who would oppose the teaching of the trinity, even though it is not supported by Scripture, and goes against the plain teachings of the Bible.  Those who teach that there is only one God and His Son Jesus Christ, are ridiculed, censured, and eventually dis-fellowed from the church for not adhering to church doctrine and authority.

The mystery of the trinity is the central doctrine of the Roman Catholic Church and from it come all of her doctrines, to include Sunday sacredness.  The Seventh-day Adventist church has adopted this doctrine and as such is worshiping the same god as Babylon.  Though the church claims that their version of the trinity is different from the Catholic Church, it is essentially the same.  When the mark of the beast is being implemented throughout the world, those who hold to the truth of the One true God, will be persecuted and eventually slain, just as in the time of Christ.

My friend, if you are worshiping God in the form of the trinity, you are worshiping God in vain.  For Jesus said of the Jews "But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men." (Matthew 15:9).  God has given us ample instruction as to who He is and how we are to worship Him.  In the last days the trinity will be exposed for the false god that it is.  In the first angels message it declares "Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters." (Revelation 14:7).  The call will go out to come back to worship the One true God of the Bible: The Creator God as spoken of in 1 Corinthians 8:6 saying "But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him."

The shaking that is to come in the last days is happening now.  The Seventh-day Adventist church of today has accepted another leader in place of Jesus Christ, therefore a message is sent to the remnant church from the Faithful and True Witness to awaken them from their apostasy, that they may see their true condition before God and be saved.  He says "be zealous therefore, and repent." (Revelation 3:19).

My friend, the shaking of the church is happening today, and is separating those who worship the One true God and His Son Jesus Christ, from those who worship the false god of the trinity.  The decision that you make in this matter will determine your destiny for all eternity.  Will you following the plain teachings of God through His word, or will you submit your eternal salvation to church authority?

May you heed the warning of the Faithful and True Witness today.

God bless,

Prove All Things - A Review by Nader Mansour

"The Godhead: Joels Journey - Why I Left the Anti-trinitarian Movement." In this episode of Prove All Things, I review Joel's aforementioned video and test some of his claims. Is there enough evidence to abandon the Father & Son message? What solid proofs are there for the Trinity? Can we accept the Spirit of God to be a different person to God? These questions and more are covered in this episode.

The Controversy Between Christ and Satan is Ended

Christ Triumphant - A Devotional by E.G. The Book of Daniel Now Unsealed for Study

Christ Triumphant - A Devotional by E.G. White Book of Daniel Now Unsealed for Study Today's Text: But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased. Daniel 12:4 The Message:      There is need of a much closer study of the Word of God; especially should Daniel and the Revelation have attention as never before in the history of our work. We may have less to say in some lines, in regard to the Roman power and the papacy, but we should call attention to what the prophets and apostles have written under the inspiration of the Spirit of God.  The Holy Spirit has so shaped matters, both in the giving of the prophecy and in the events portrayed, as to teach that the human agent is to be kept out of sight, hid in Christ, and the Lord God of heaven ...

Christ is Knocking at Your Hearts Door

Christ Triumphant - A Devotional by E.G. White Christ is Knocking at Your Hearts Door Today's Text: But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. Hebrews 2:9 The Message:      The stress of great temptation is already upon us. We are now to unite with one another in doing medical missionary work, even the work that Christ did when on this earth. We are to be one in Christ. Thus we show our faithfulness to God, to our Redeemer, and to all who are born into His kingdom.  Among the people of God there is to be no dissension, no controversy, no warfare against one another. The forces of righteousness are to be a unit in their conflict with evil. All the strength of God's...
