Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Psalm 24:9

The Message:
Christ longed for careworn, oppressed, weary human beings to come to Him, that He might give them the light and life and joy and peace that is to be found nowhere else. The veriest sinners were the objects of His deep, earnest interest, pity, and love. But when in the greatest need of human sympathy, in the hour of His greatest trial and heaviest temptation, the most promising of His disciples left Him. He was indeed compelled to tread the winepress alone, and of the people there was none with Him. An atmosphere of apostasy surrounded Him. On every side could be heard sounds of mockery, taunting, and blasphemy. What then was the outlook for His disciples, left in a world that would not tolerate the Son of the living God? ...
Christ's work was finished when He expired on the cross, crying with a loud voice, "It is finished." The way was laid open; the veil was rent in twain. Sinners could approach God without sacrificial offerings, without the service of a priest. Christ Himself was a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek. Heaven was His home. He came to this world to reveal the Father. His work on the field of His humiliation and conflict was now done. He ascended up into the heavens, and is forever set down on the right hand of God.... In Joseph's tomb He wrapped Himself in the garment of immortality, and then waited in the world for a sufficient length of time to put beyond doubt the evidence that He was indeed risen from the dead.... He rose from the dead to become familiar with His disciples preparatory to His ascension, when He should be glorified before the heavenly universe.... All heaven waited with eager earnestness for the end of the tarrying of the Son of God in a world all seared and marred with the curse of transgression. He ascended from the Mount of Olives in a cloud of angels, who triumphantly escorted Him to the City of God.... What a contrast was Christ's reception on His return to heaven to His reception on this earth.... There was no sorrow, no suffering, to meet Him at every turn. There were no scowling priests to exercise their ingenuity in finding some word of His that they could misinterpret and thus gain opportunity to harass, abuse, insult, and deride Him.... In proportion to Christ's humiliation and suffering is His exaltation. He could have become the Saviour, the Redeemer, only by first being the Sacrifice.-Manuscript 128, 1897. |

Commentary:
My friend, in this world the Son of God was derided, harassed, abused, insulted, and put to death. There was only a handful of disciples that had accepted Him as the sent of God, and in His time of trial, there were none that stood by Him. He hung upon the cross alone, forsaken of men and of God. He had to bear the sins of all humanity alone.
The reason why none of His disciples stood by during His crucifixion was because of their misunderstanding of His mission. Though they had the prophecies which foretold of His first coming, and the sacrificial system which illustrated His mission, they were unprepared for His arrest, persecution and death on the cross. The Scribes and Pharisees who were the leaders of the Jewish faith, had so corrupted the truth by their traditions, that the people were unprepared to accept the Sent of God as their Redeemer. Because of their misunderstanding of the prophecies and the sanctuary service, they all forsook the Son of God.
Today the church is in a similar condition as the Jews in the time of Christ. The leaders of the church today have in a similar way corrupted the truth about God and His Son, that they are not prepared to give the last message of hope to the world, and are not ready to meet Him when He comes in the clouds of glory. By the acceptance of the doctrine of the trinity the church has forsaken the Son of God and accepted in His place the spirit of antichrist. The trinity has a form of godliness, but it lacks the power to transform the people into the image of God.
By the introduction of the Holy Spirit as a third being unto itself, which is not the Father nor the Son, it has presented another mediator between God and man. It teaches that while Christ is in human form, ministering in the heavenly sanctuary, the Holy Spirit is ministering here on earth, connecting fallen sinners to Christ. In teaching this the people of God are accepting another spirit in place of the Spirit of Christ. The Scriptures tell us "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;" (1 Timothy 2:5).
The spirit that is leading the church today is not the Spirit of Christ, but the spirit of antichrist, for the trinity teaches that the Son of God is not truly a son, and as such is not really the Son of God. It destroys the father-son relationship and destroys the foundation of the gospel. Of this the apostle John wrote in 1 John 2:22, 23 saying "Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also."
The trinity is a false image of God and as such cannot sustain you when the final test comes at the implementation of the Sunday laws. The trinity is the foundational teaching of the Roman Catholic Church, and by it flows all of its doctrines to include Sunday sacredness. The Seventh-day Adventist church today is drunk with the wine of Babylon, and unless we are zealous in our repentance, the Faithful and True Witness of God will spew us from His mouth. All of the abominations that are coming into the church today; spiritual formation, contemplative prayer, women's ordination, the acceptance of homosexuals as members and leaders, the ecumenical movement, and more are all a result of the churches acceptance of the trinity. By accepting the trinity as God, the church has forsaken the One true God and His Son Jesus Christ.
My friend, "How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him." (1 Kings 18:21) "... as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD." (Joshua 24:15).
God bless,
