Today's Text:
Reproach hath broken my heart; and I am full of heaviness: and I looked for some to take pity, but there was none; and for comforters, but I found none. Psalm 69:20

The Message:
The spotless Son of God hung upon the cross, His flesh lacerated with stripes; those hands so often reached out in blessing, nailed to the wooden bars; those feet so tireless on ministries of love, spiked to the tree; that royal head pierced by the crown of thorns; those quivering lips shaped to the cry of woe. And all that He endured-the blood drops that flowed from His head, His hands, His feet, the agony that racked His frame, and the unutterable anguish that filled His soul at the hiding of His Father's face-speaks to each child of humanity, declaring, It is for thee that the Son of God consents to bear this burden of guilt; for thee He spoils the domain of death, and opens the gates of Paradise.-The Desire of Ages, 755.
In the sufferings of Christ upon the cross prophecy was fulfilled. Centuries before the crucifixion, the Saviour had foretold the treatment He was to receive. He said, "Dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet. I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me. They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture." The prophecy concerning His garments was carried out without counsel or interference from the friends or the enemies of the Crucified One. To the soldiers who had placed Him upon the cross, His clothing was given. Christ heard the men's contention as they parted the garments among them. His tunic was woven throughout without seam, and they said, "Let us not rend it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be." To those who suffered death by the cross, it was permitted to give a stupefying potion, to deaden the sense of pain. This was offered to Jesus; but when He had tasted it, He refused it. He would receive nothing that could becloud His mind. His faith must keep fast hold upon God. This was His only strength. To becloud His senses would give Satan an advantage. The enemies of Jesus vented their rage upon Him as He hung upon the cross. Priests, rulers, and scribes joined with the mob in mocking the dying Saviour. At the baptism and at the transfiguration the voice of God had been heard proclaiming Christ as His Son. Again, just before Christ's betrayal, the Father had spoken, witnessing to His divinity. But now the voice from heaven was silent. No testimony in Christ's favor was heard. Alone He suffered abuse and mockery from wicked men.-The Desire of Ages, 746. |

Commentary:
My friend, alone and friendless, our Savior suffered and died upon the cross of Calvary. The physical pain that He suffered paled in comparison to the anguish that He felt at the hiding of His Father's face. The separation that the sinner was to feel, was experienced by the Son of Man to a greater degree than any will ever experience. Though He had taken the weight of the worlds sin upon Himself, He had committed no sin, but became sin for us.
The suffering that the Son of God endured for our sake was also endured by the Father as well. His love for fallen man was so great that He consented that His Son, the only being in the whole universe that was like Himself, would become sin for us and die in our place. How few truly recognize the great sacrifice that was made in our behalf, and how sad it is that so many are rejecting the grace that God has given in His Son.
The world today has been deceived into worshiping a counterfeit god; one that has the form of God, but in reality is not. The trinity is a false representation of God, that denies that Jesus is truly the Son of God, claiming that He is the Son of God only as a title or metaphor. It claims that the Son of God has always existed and as such was has no beginning. In teaching this it denies the Father and the Son, for if the Son is not really a son, then the Father is not really a father, thus calling the Father a liar. Of this the Apostle John wrote "Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son." (1 Joh 2:22).
My friend, I know that this is not something that is easy to accept, but the trinity is a lie, and destroys the whole of the gospel which says "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son," (John 3:16). At its core it denies the Father and the Son. The trinity is the god of Babylon and by it flows all of its teachings. Sunday sacredness comes from the trinity, and the Seventh-day Adventist Church has embraced this view of God. Since then the foundational teachings of the church have been steadily eroding. Abomination after abomination have come into the church since the passing of the church pioneers; all because of the trinity.
The time is come when we must stand up for the truth and give the shaking message to the Seventh-day Adventist Church who is truly in the Laodicean condition, for the Son of God is no longer at the head of His church. The leaders of our church have set aside the Son of God and put in His place the spirit of antichrist. Says the Faithful and True Witness of God "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." (Revelation 3:20). Jesus is on the outside looking in. Wont you open the door of your heart to Him?
God bless,
