Our Work is to Proclaim the Three Angels' Message

Our Work is to Proclaim the Three Angels' Message
Today's Text:
Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins. Isaiah 58:1
The Message:

We are standing on the threshold of great and solemn events. Prophecies are fulfilling. The last great conflict will be short but terrible. Old controversies will be revived. New controversies will arise. The last warnings must be given to the world. There is a special power in the presentation of the truth at the present time, but how long will it continue? Only a little while. If ever there was a crisis, it is now.

Decided efforts should be made to bring the message for this time prominently before the people. The third angel is to go forth with great power. Let none ignore this work or treat it as of little importance. The truth is to be proclaimed to the world, that they may see the light.

This is our work. The light that we have upon the third angel's message is the true light. The mark of the beast is exactly what it has been proclaimed to be. All in regard to this matter is not yet understood, and will not be understood until the unrolling of the scroll, but a most solemn work is to be accomplished in our world. The Lord's command to His servants is "Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins."

There is to be no change in the features of our work. It is to stand as clear and distinct as prophecy has made it. We are to enter into no confederacy with the world, supposing that by so doing we could accomplish more. If any stand in the way, to hinder the advancement of the work in the lines that God has appointed, they will displease God. No line of our faith that has made us what we are is to be weakened. We have the old landmarks of truth, experience, and duty; we are to stand firmly in defense of our principles, in full view of the world.

It is essential that workers be raised up to open the living oracles of God to all nations, tongues, and peoples. People of all ranks and capacities, with various gifts, are to stand in their God-given armor, to cooperate harmoniously for a common result. They are to unite in the work of bringing the truth to all nations and peoples, each worker fulfilling his or her own special appointment.

There is a wide field of action, and in their plans and devising, all need to consider the result. Everything is to move according to the divine plan. The whole body must be fitly joined together, that each member may promote the designs of Him who gave His life for the life of the world.

As the work advances, dangers arise that need to be guarded against. As new enterprises are entered upon, there is a tendency to make some one line all-absorbing; that which should have the first place becomes a secondary consideration. The church needs fresh power and vitality; but there is great danger of taking on new lines of work that will waste their energies instead of bringing life into the church.-Manuscript 3, 1899.
*Note: I have added in the parts that were left out by the compilers for what ever reason, that the true sentiment of the author may be seen.  These parts are underlined.
Commentary:

My friend, the work that we are to do in these last days is to proclaim the three angels message to the world.  Though it may seem that we have been doing this for some time now, we have not.  The message that is being proclaimed today is not the true messages.  By the adoption of the trinity as God, the focus of the message has been subtly changed.  Where it was once upon the One true God, it has now been changed to the Sabbath.

While the seventh day Sabbath is true and important, who we are worshiping is of more importance.  The Sabbath in and of itself cannot sanctify anyone.  Though many today revere the Sabbath there is nothing in the keeping of the Sabbath that will sanctify anyone.  If we are to keep the Sabbath holy as the fourth commandment says we must first be holy. the Lord says "Moreover also I gave them my sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am the LORD that sanctify them." (Ezekiel 20:12).

In order to keep the Sabbath holy, we must first be sanctified by God.  As we are thus sanctified, the Sabbath in the last days will be a seal that keeps us holy.  In the last days the great event that is to take place is the implementation of the mark of the beast; the enforcement of Sunday worship in opposition to the law of God.  Our preparation for this terrible time is to be sealed by God.  The first angels message is a message of preparation.  It calls us back to worship the God of creation.  The Creator of heaven and earth is the Father, for He has created all things through His Son.

The trinity is the central foundation of the Babylonian church and form it comes all of her doctrines to include Sunday sacredness.  As such to worship the trinity is to worship the god of Babylon. If we are worshiping God as a trinity, then our message to the world is simply to worship the triune god on the true Sabbath.  And in doing so the people are no better off than they were before, for the day that we worship on is useless unless we are sanctified by the Lord.

My friend, the reason why this message has not had the affect that it is supposed to have is because we have not been sanctified by the Lord.  By worshiping the false god of the trinity, we are "wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked." (Revelation 3:17)  The message has not been attended by the Spirit of Christ for we as a church we have forsaken the One true God for the false god of the trinity.

Now is the time for us to heed the message of the Faithful and True Witness of God and be zealous in our repentance and come back and worship the One true God through His Son Jesus Christ today.

God bless,

What is the central focus, the key element of the Christian faith? What is the "doctrine of Christ?" Unless we understand this doctrine we may spend our energies seeking the wrong thing and never really enter into the experience that God wants us to have.

The Controversy Between Christ and Satan is Ended

Christ Triumphant - A Devotional by E.G. White The Controversy Between Christ and Satan is Ended Today's Text: And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. Revelation 21:4 The Message:      The wicked receive their recompense in the earth. [Proverbs 11:31] . All are punished "according to their deeds." The Book of Daniel Now Unsealed for Study

Christ Triumphant - A Devotional by E.G. White Book of Daniel Now Unsealed for Study Today's Text: But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased. Daniel 12:4 The Message:      There is need of a much closer study of the Word of God; especially should Daniel and the Revelation have attention as never before in the history of our work. We may have less to say in some lines, in regard to the Roman power and the papacy, but we should call attention to what the prophets and apostles have written under the inspiration of the Spirit of God.  The Holy Spirit has so shaped matters, both in the giving of the prophecy and in the events portrayed, as to teach that the human agent is to be kept out of sight, hid in Christ, and the Lord God of heaven ...

Christ is Knocking at Your Hearts Door

Christ Triumphant - A Devotional by E.G. White Christ is Knocking at Your Hearts Door Today's Text: But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. Hebrews 2:9 The Message:      The stress of great temptation is already upon us. We are now to unite with one another in doing medical missionary work, even the work that Christ did when on this earth. We are to be one in Christ. Thus we show our faithfulness to God, to our Redeemer, and to all who are born into His kingdom.  Among the people of God there is to be no dissension, no controversy, no warfare against one another. The forces of righteousness are to be a unit in their conflict with evil. All the strength of God's...
