All Revelation in Scripture Comes from Jesus Christ

Christ Triumphant - A Devotional by E.G. White

All Revelation in Scripture Comes from Jesus Christ
Today's Text:
Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. 2 Peter 1:20, 21
The Message:

The whole Bible is a revelation, for all revelation to men comes through Christ and all centers in Him. God has spoken unto us by His Son, whose we are by creation and by redemption. Christ came to John, exiled on the isle of Patmos, to give him the truth for these last days, to show him that which must shortly come to pass. Jesus Christ is the great trustee of divine revelation. It is through Him that we have a knowledge of what we are to look for in the closing scenes of this earth's history. God gave this revelation to Christ, and Christ communicated the same to John.

John, the beloved disciple, was the one chosen to receive this revelation. He was the last survivor of the first chosen disciples. Under the New Testament dispensation he was honored as the prophet Daniel was honored under the Old Testament dispensation.

The instruction to be communicated to John was so important that Christ came from heaven to give it to His servant, telling him to send it to the churches. This instruction is to be the object of our careful and prayerful study, for we are living in a time when persons who are not under the teaching of the Holy Spirit will bring in false theories. These men have been standing in high places, and they have ambitious projects to carry out. They seek to exalt themselves and to revolutionize the whole showing of things. God has given us special instruction to guard us against such ones. He bade John write in a book that which should take place in the closing scenes of this earth's history.

After the passing of the time [1844], God entrusted to His faithful followers the precious principles of present truth. These principles were not given to those who had had no part in the giving of the first and second angels' messages. They were given to the workers who had had a part in the cause from the beginning. Those who passed through these experiences are to be as firm as a rock to the principles that have made us Seventh-day Adventists. They are to be workers together with God, binding up the testimony and sealing the law among His disciples. Those who took part in the establishment of our work upon a foundation of Bible truth, those who know the way marks that have pointed out the right path, are to be regarded as workers of the highest value. They can speak from personal experience regarding the truths entrusted to them. These workers are not to permit their faith to be changed to infidelity; they are not to permit the banner of the third angel to be taken from their hands. They are to hold the beginning of their confidence firm unto the end.

The Lord has declared that the history of the past shall be rehearsed as we enter upon the closing work. Every truth that He has given for these last days is to be proclaimed to the world. Every pillar that He has established is to be strengthened. We cannot now step off the foundation that God has established. We cannot now enter into any new organization, for this would mean apostasy from the truth.-Manuscript 129, 1905.
*Note: I have added in the parts that were left out by the compilers for what ever reason, that the true sentiment of the author may be seen.  These parts are underlined.
Commentary:

My friend, all revelation of the Scriptures comes from Jesus Christ for He is the Comforter that is to lead us to all truth.  The foundation that God had established for the our church cannot be improved upon; no revelation of God will negate what was revealed in the past, yet today the church has embraced a very different god from the God of our church pioneers, calling this new light.  But we have been warned not to accept supposed new light that is not in harmony with the old, for to step off of the sure foundation that Christ has laid is apostasy from the truth.

The Scriptures declare that there is only one God, the Father, and that He has a Son, Jesus Christ the righteous and that they have the same spirit. "And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent." (John 17:3).  It declares that the Holy Spirit is not a separate being from the Father and the Son. "But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his." (Romans 8:9). Yet the church declares that God is a triune God made up of three individual beings; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.  These three beings are each individually God, and collectively God, but are not three gods, but one.

From Adam to Abraham to Moses they worshiped the One true God, the Father.  At the time of Christ, He declared that He was the Son of God and said "But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him." (John 4:23).  Jesus, "Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person," (Hebrews 1:3) pointed us to worship the Father, not to a triune god as the church teaches today.

The truth is that the trinity is the false god of Babylon and since our church pioneers have passed away, "...certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ." (Jude 4).  These ungodly men, under the guise of righteousness have led the people to drink of the wine of Babylon.  Little by little the doctrine of the trinity had been inserted into our teachings until the church came to accept the new belief and has made it one of the fundamental beliefs.

By the churches adoption of the trinity, it has moved from the pure church of Philadelphia to the wretched church of Laodicea.  With the Son of God being removed and supplanted by God the Son, the church is no longer being led by the Spirit of Christ, but is being led by the spirit of Rome.  As such the Faithful and True Witness declares "...and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:" (Revelation 3:17).

My friend, how long will you resist the working of the Spirit of Christ upon your heart?  How long will you hold on to a church who has rejected the Son of God for God the Son.  Jesus is knocking on the door of your heart, and if He is not on the inside, who is?

May you heed the warning of Jesus and open the door of your heart to Him today.

God bless,
FOOD FOR THOUGHT:

The Trinity is the foundational teaching of the Roman Catholic Church, by it comes all of her doctrines, to include Sunday sacredness.  While the Seventh-Day Adventist Church states that their trinity is different from the Catholic trinity, why does the Catholic Trinity look the same as the Seventh-day Adventist trinity?

Does God Change? - Pastor Allen Stump
Does God Change? The question seems simple enough to answer when God says in Malachi 3:6, "I change not." However many people believe that God does change when it comes to the way he views the professed remnant. This message sustains God's position that he does not change!

The Controversy Between Christ and Satan is Ended

Christ Triumphant - A Devotional by E.G. Revelation 21:4 The Message:      The wicked receive their recompense in the earth. [Proverbs 11:31] . The Book of Daniel Now Unsealed for Study

Christ Triumphant - A Devotional by E.G. White Book of Daniel Now Unsealed for Study Today's Text: But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased. Daniel 12:4 The Message:      There is need of a much closer study of the Word of God; especially should Daniel and the Revelation have attention as never before in the history of our work. We may have less to say in some lines, in regard to the Roman power and the papacy, but we should call attention to what the prophets and apostles have written under the inspiration of the Spirit of God.  The Holy Spirit has so shaped matters, both in the giving of the prophecy and in the events portrayed, as to teach that the human agent is to be kept out of sight, hid in Christ, and the Lord God of heaven ...

Christ is Knocking at Your Hearts Door

Christ Triumphant - A Devotional by E.G. White Christ is Knocking at Your Hearts Door Today's Text: But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. Hebrews 2:9 The Message:      The stress of great temptation is already upon us. We are now to unite with one another in doing medical missionary work, even the work that Christ did when on this earth. We are to be one in Christ. Thus we show our faithfulness to God, to our Redeemer, and to all who are born into His kingdom.  Among the people of God there is to be no dissension, no controversy, no warfare against one another. The forces of righteousness are to be a unit in their conflict with evil. All the strength of God's...
